What is the role? We are looking for committed and compassionate individuals who want to be a part of a leading support service for our children and young people in the local community. Your role will be to support children with additional support needs, in most cases, extremely challenging behavior, and support them to achieve their outcomes which are recorded in their support plans. Other children requiring to be supported have complex physical needs, and again all relative support information is documented in their support plans. The priority for these children is to provide them with consistency, and clear boundaries. You will work in an empowering, respectful, and empathetic way to promote healthy relationships, encourage achievements, and to be a positive role model for restorative care and individual growth. What we need from you? · Should have at least 2 years of experience working with children with challenging behaviour and autism in their home or in their local community · Should be motivated and passionate in working with young people and to make a positive contribution to the lives · Experience and understanding in dealing with challenging situations · An understanding of GIRFEC and curriculum for excellence is desirable · An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation · The ability to form professional and positive relationships · Good physical health and high level of emotional resilience · Commitment to the principle of continuing professional development and working towards achieving necessary qualifications · A valid UK driving license is an essential requirement and access to your own vehicle · An SVQ3 in social care and working towards or having a HNC in social care or equivalent is desirable · Please note that this position is subject to a full PVG check What we offer you? · Fully funded level 2 or 3 qualifications in Health &
Social Care at 6 monthsof employment · After 12 months of employment, you will be eligible for a pay increase subjected to meeting the performance and qualification criteria · Monthly Pay and you will receive 28 days of annual leave · Paid mileage and travel between customer visits- availability of company cars for care runs and or some caveat around the mileage paid · Pre-employment training · PVG fee is paid after 12-weeks of successful probation · Supervision Support and Training updates throughout the year on our e-learning Platform · £100 reward scheme for employee of the month and £50 for a successful employee referral · Pension Scheme Job Type:
