PermanentJob Function Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Unit GrainCorp Malt Division Bairds Malt Requisition Recruiter Coull Maggie Together we have a greater impact Our people can be proud that as part of a leading international agri-business we provide an increasingly important service across the food and beverage supply chain About our team Bairds Malt Limited operates five malting plants within the UK and produces malt primarily for the brewing and distilling industries In the UK there are also three merchanting companies Saxon Agriculture Limited Mark Lawrence Grain and Scotgrain Agriculture Limited These companies procure malting barley for Bairds Malt s own use and also trade in barley other grains and related agricultural commodities In 2013 Bairds Malt launched Brewers Select our one-stop-shop supplier of quality ingredients and equipment for craft and micro brewers About the role We have an opportunity for a locally based person to join the Commercial team at our Arbroath site The purpose of the Commercial team is to provide a reliable and professional service to the company s internal and external customer base by co-ordinating the safe and efficient storage and distribution of malt and barley and ensuring that customer orders are satisfied correctly You will be encouraged to develop a thorough understanding of our Malt business and will be expected to Liaise with and co-ordinate customers and suppliers Liaise with brewing distilling and export customers to ascertain plan and manage the delivery of malt through the appropriate use of nominated service providers hauliers shipping lines HM Revenue Customs and other suppliers Plan for and negotiate technical difficulties Maintain update and continuously monitor the delivery scheduling computer system for malt deliveries Assist with monitoring of the quality quantity cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of barley and malt Assist other Commercial team members in their duties and cover for them in their absence About your skills and experience The successful candidate will have the following key skills abilities Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written Prepared to be flexible Reliability - both time keeping and attendance Self-motivated and able to use initiative Computer literate Attention to detail accuracy Good level of education or experience Regardless of experience you will understand the importance of relationships demonstrate personal resilience and have a drive for outcomes Together we realise our potential At GrainCorp we value and respect the different perspectives and experiences our people bring to work each day We aim to increase the diversity of our workforce - leading to a range of different thinking perspectives and ideas that create the innovation we need to drive better business results We aim to have a work environment where everyone feels included and everyone can realise their full potential Next steps If you have questions regarding this role you can contact either Maggie Coull on 01376 535805 or Kelly Aldridge on 01376 535807
