Role description:
We are currently recruiting for a Regional IT Support Engineer, based at our Yorkshire sites. The successful candidate will form part of the UK Regional IT Support team and be responsible for the provision, coordination, administration and liaison for IT Business Support, to help meet the strategic and operational commitments. Key responsibilities:
Build, support and maintain servers, desktop PCs and laptops across the Territory Excellent PC break/fix skills and problem solving abilities Ability to investigate and support complex business applications and system Client application deployment and troubleshooting Progress UK &
Ireland Helpdesk enquiries by ensuring resources are used effectively Maintain up to date records, policies and procedures as required by Group IT, Develop, maintain and monitor accurate records of IT inventory (hardware and software) Build, develop and maintain a knowledge base for IT fault remedies Manage onsite stock levels Participate in on-call rota will be required Skills, knowledge and experience:
Proven experience in a customer facing environment is essential Extensive knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems (Windows 7/10 etc.) Knowledge of Application Virtualization Experience using Active Directory and performing user management tasks Experience with Office 2013, 365 suites and equivalent Outlook versions Thorough working knowledge Dell workstations Some knowledge of Scripting – (VB Script, Powershell) desirable but not essential Self-starter with drive and flexibility, with ability to work in a fast paced environment Customer focused and able to build strong relationships Commercial awareness Seeks to improve self through following IT developments Travel will be required between the UK sites, therefore a full driving licence is essential What we offer:
