Job Profile As the successful Metals Production Manager, your main function will be to Manage all aspects of the production process within the Machine Shop overseeing a team of Machinists, Production Planner, Production Engineer, Finishing Team Leader & Metal Finishers, Workshop Technicians, Administrator and apprentices. You will need to have strong people-management skills and have good time management. You will be reporting directly to the CEO

create a positive winning culture of hitting delivery and quality expectations. work to grow capacity when required on all aspects of post processing. create and manage off load capacity to manage spike requirements. leading the manufacturing team to achieve key business kpi’s in line with company strategy. lead the team towards a high performing production facility whilst also managing the challenging demand of fast turnaround short lead-time work. overall efficiency and effectiveness of team and all equipment. h&s responsibility for all metal areas. responsible for metals financial budget and sales figures. commercial activities linking to the sales team. ensure technical support is available for production. all post-build processing and finishing activities. build internal and customer relationships as main point of contact. carry out team appraisals including people development and skills matrix correlation to business need. manage workload through departments ensuring maximum utilisation. manage holidays to ensure adequate capacity to meet operational and customer expectation. ensure quality levels are being maintained and corrective actions are analysed, and corrective actions/improvements are being completed. qualifications:
degree/hnc/hnd in manufacturing or production engineering quality or process qualifications would be beneficial skills & experience:
working to tight deadlines within a dynamic/busy environment. experience in additive manufacturing industry is desirable. minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant machine shop environment. experience of 3d printing technologies is an advantage. high level understanding of 5 axis machining, fitting and general engineering is essential. hours of work:
39hrs per week 8am to 4pm, monday to thursday 8am to 3pm, friday benefits and bonuses:
