As a Chief Inspector you will be responsible for any one of a number of areas of policing, including the operational management of one of the force's district areas, investigations or public protection, delivering the Constabulary’s vision, values and objectives. A strong emphasis is put on the well being of staff and officers at all ranks, with significant investment being made in this area. You will be expected to lead by example in this area, helping to improve the resilience of our teams. The force has recently laid out a clear vision for local policing, with recruitment underway to significantly increase the number of officers focused on tackling high harm offences in communities. You will play a key role in defining the local approach in areas such as drug related harm, knife crime and child exploitation. Essential Qualifications
