We have an excellent opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our rapidly expanding Delivery team, to be based in our Thatcham office. This is a hands-on role which will look after our IT facilities, processes, and efficiency, with the chance to grow your career and be on a path to a managerial position.
About the Role:
Reporting into our Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will be responsible for systems and networks, ensuring that IT facilities are fit for purpose and running smoothly. You will be hands-on with systems and ensure upgrades and backups are regularly conducted, whilst keeping areas such as documentation and support/advice up to date.
This role sits within our wider Delivery team where you will be part of a fun, friendly and efficient Service Desk.
This role is based in our Berkshire head office, a 2-minute walk from Thatcham train station with free on-site parking and easy access to many nearby towns and cities.
Researching and installing new systems and networks
Evaluating user needs and system functionality, ensuring that IT facilities meet these needs
Planning, developing and implementing the IT budget whilst obtaining competitive prices from suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness
Organising the purchase of hardware and software
Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems
Ensuring IT systems documentation is accurate and up to date
Guaranteeing the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision
Ensuring that users adhere to software licensing laws
Providing secure access to the network for remote users
Securing data from internal and external attack
Offering users appropriate support and advice
Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems
Mentoring and training new IT support staff
Keeping up to date with the latest technologies
Contributing to organisational policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning
Managing security processes and ISO 27001 accreditation
Being hands-on with systems
What we?re looking for:
Experience in Office365 administration
Experience in SharePoint implementation and administration
Salesforce user and administration experience
Strong leadership skills
Co-operation skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work with people at all levels within an organisation
Ability to manage a team of individuals, each a specialist in their own area
