European High Yield Credit Sales
The HY salesperson will build and maintain relationships with dedicated HY funds and specialist Hedge Funds active in the European High Yield market.Job Background/context:
The position is within the Leveraged Credit Sales and Trading business, working with a team of traders and analysts, with some additional responsibilities in, loan and distressed coverage.
Primary Coverage of HY Funds and HY focussed Credit Opportunity Funds
Syndication of Primary Bond Issuance, utilising close relationships with banking and syndicate deal teams
Relationship management, secondary trade idea generation and execution in cash and synthetic product
Maintaining and building on existing desk relationships whilst establishing new partners for the team
Marketing materials ? HY bond and CDS ideas, colour provision, explanations of complex situations
Development of new business ideas that can drive P&
Provision of market colour and new ideas to trading and analyst team
Leadership by providing training, support and guidance to more junior members of the team
Knowledge of and ability to pitch financing structures and solutions

Responsibility for primary exposure to a top tier client list that has the potential for senior revenue / P&
Responsible for the development and training of junior members of staff
Exposure to multiple business lines e.G. Bonds, CDS, Credit Indices and Options, Loans, Second Lien Debt, Mezzanine, Distressed Corporates, Financials, ABS, Real Estate, Shipping, Emerging Markets, Structured Credit
Extensive years of experience covering HY Managers and Credit Hedge Funds, ideally including some Loan / CLO exposure
Top 3 relationships with multiple large dedicated HY funds and ability to replicate quickly with new priority funds
Detailed knowledge of HY primary / secondary and macro trends, credits, loan closing, CDS and Credit Index trading, and risk management.
Ability to interact with trading and analyst direct team, but also establish and manage relationships with other internal teams e.G. risk, closing, syndicate, RM
Strong interpersonal skills that can develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, closing technicalities, loan settlement processes and protocol
Ability to analyse and pitch primary placements including private placement style deals and determine suitable counterparties
Exceptional analytical and numerical competency
Self-starter driven by results, motivated to drive self, business and clients forward
Capable of remaining calm and resourceful in stressful situations
Ability to connect multiple touch points at a client to different internal teams
